The demo is live

The free Uptime demo is out now on Steam. Walk into a garage, cable up a cloud provider by hand, and keep your first customers online while the simulation pushes back. Early Access follows on 17 July.

The free Uptime demo is live right now on Steam. It drops you onto the floor of your own cloud provider, first person, hands on the hardware. Buy the server, carry it to the rack, and seat it with a click. Pull the cable off the spool, find the port, run it by hand. Power on. Sign your first customer. Then keep them online while the simulation starts pushing back.

A tuned slice, not a trailer

The demo is a real vertical slice: a garage, a live uplink, real customers with names and tempers, and about an hour to see how far you can push it before something gives. Underneath it is the same deterministic engine the full game runs on. Spanning tree actually converges. LAG, fault domains, oversubscription, power and cooling are real budgets. Loop the network the wrong way and it storms.

Never touched a rack? One key turns the jargon off: same systems, plain language. An engineer can turn the training wheels back on and read every acronym straight.

What we want back

We are reading everything this week and shipping fixes as we go. Tell us how the cabling feels, where you got stuck, and anything that broke. The Discord is where that happens, and it changes the build directly.

Play the free demo on Steam. Early Access lands on 17 July 2026, Windows, macOS and Linux. Wishlist to hear the moment it does.

See you on the floor.
